How long do special orders take?
Each order is a unique quote so there is no exact answer to this question, but here are a few guidelines to consider:
- All timeframes are estimates and may be adjusted based on supplies availability, receipt of pieces from print vendor, time of order (i.e. the holiday season is busier than the summer), quantity ordered, labor required, etc.
- Printed items (i.e. personalized stationery and notepads) have a faster turnaround than handmade items (i.e. specialty cards and wedding stationery)
- Estimated timeframes for small quantity orders (25 or less):
- Personalized stationery are usually printed and shipped within 7-10 days of proof approval.
- Handmade cards are usually created and shipped within 10-14 days of proof approval.
- Wedding stationery is usually created and shipped within 2-3 weeks of proof approval.
What is the special order process?
This may be adjusted to accommodate your specific order needs, but is roughly as follows:
- Once you have completed the form on the Special Order page, I will reply within 48 hours with more information about my availability, a possible price range, and an estimated time frame to completion.
- If you decide you’d like to continue to the samples phase, a sample fee invoice will be sent to you within 24 hours (price varies based on type of sample requested). Once payment has been received, you will receive your sample packet (.pdf file with detailed pictures, prices and descriptions, including an estimated timeframe) within 3 business days.
- Once you have reviewed your samples and finalized your purchase decision, an invoice will be sent within 24 hours. Once payment has been received, you will receive an email confirmation for your payment, request for finalized wording, and the estimated shipping date of your order.
- You will receive a .pdf proof of your wording for your review within 24 hours of receipt of payment. Please review this document carefully for any changes that need to be made (to include misspellings and accurate information), and notify me whether the file is approved for printing.
- Production on your order will commence.
- Once your order has been completed, it will be shipped via United States Postal Service Priority Mail with delivery confirmation. I will email you the tracking number once shipped.
Do you offer rush production services?
A rush request can be applied to your order for an additional fee, which is as follows:
- Printed personalized orders: $12.00
- Handmade stationery orders: $18.00
- Wedding stationery orders: $50.00
**Please note, these are the minimum rush fees that are applied – if you are ordering in quantities over 25, you may incur additional rush fees. All fees will be disclosed for your approval prior to beginning any work on your order.
What if I’ve already found something I like – can you reproduce it?
I’d love to see what you’ve already found! Unfortunately, I am unable to reproduce the works of other artists exactly, but I can definitely take inspiration from the bits and pieces that you love about another design and incorporate them in a new way in your custom piece.
How are special orders priced?
Special orders are priced based on the materials and labor they require. When creating your samples, I strive to provide a range of price points to choose from. However, if you know up front what your budget is, please share this information with me so that I can create great samples that will accommodate you.
